Attention ALL COLORADO FRIENDS:

Please meet me at Edora Park in Fort Collins on July 21st at 6:00 PM :). I am so excited to see you all! For directions click on the word Edora above and it can give you map quest directions! Also, the park is near Christina (Crowther) Packard's place so if you want to meet up there and go over with us, that works too:). The plan is still the same. Bring your own main dish (Albertson's chicken, peanut butter and jelly, lunchables...) and then bring a side dish to share (salad, chips, etc.) Bring your own paper goods too, but I'll run to the store and buy some paper plates and utensils just in case and some dessert to share. Also bring any outside game stuff you might have...frisbee, volley ball, soccer ball, toys for the kidos:)

If you get lost or have questions you can call me at: 801-560-8506
Email and let me know if you're coming! tiffanymfinley@gmail.com

Yay! I am so exicted! We have over a dozen people coming already!

Boating with the Fam!

Yesterday my mom called and invited me to meet them at Jordanelle. I called up Niki to see if she wanted to come and she did! So we loaded up all of our stuff to camp for one night! It was a BLAST! I water skiied a couple times, Aaron wake boarded, and Ryan and Niki Knee boarded! Our theme song for the night was "I ride my bike with no handle bars!" Aaron has taken a liking to this song and we seemed to make fun of it the entire night! Also, Niki and I decided to brave the tube! It was a riot! We both fell out a number of times! One time Niki didn't even notice I was missing! After we boated we went to our camp and had steak and potatoes, a real Finley meal! We played games and watched fireworks. Oh, and because it was so cold my mom asked me to bring up some long pants for her to sleep in. I brought up two so she could choose, Aaron wound up wearing my blue pants...as you can see in some of the pictures! Our camping neighbors were up late using the f-bomb every other word...so in the middle of the night we decided to pack up camp and come home...all in all it was a fabulous time!

Goodbye Foothills Elementary...

The picture above is from the beginning of the year! Each student is holding either a life skill that I teach or something to go along with our camping theme! Below is a picture of us on our field trip at Cabella's!

This picture is like where's Waldo, but where is Miss Finley!?!?

I've been meaning to blog about this for ages...July 1st was my last day at Foothills Elementary and in Jordan District. It was so hard to say goodbye because I work with some really amazing people and I've come to know a lot students and people in the community... One of my darling little students mailed me a letter today and it just flooded the great memories! I love being a teacher! Of course there are good days and bad days, but I feel truly happy when I'm right there working with students helping them master skills that they will use for the rest of their lives! I'll stop with the mushy stuff, I just had to say goodbye to Foothills, it's time to start a new:).

UVSC becomes UVU! Celebrate good times!

My sister Leslee invited me to celebrate UVSC becoming UVU! They had an incredible concert! Leslee and her friends decided it would be a sisters girls night out! It was so much fun! We saw some of our favorite country stars Collin Raye, Josh Gracin and Joe Nichols! When Joe Nichols was up we were able to stand right by the stage and we were just inches away!

Rita!

Hey ya'all! I decided to make a blog for Rita, my 8 year old "little sister" because her family keeps asking me to email them pictures and this is just easier and fun for them... also, if you'd like to read up about what it's like to be a refugee from Africa and how they have adjusted to the United States you can go to this site and learn about the Sayou family. http://littlewonderfriends.blogspot.com/

About Me

Life as it for Tiffany Finley is quite the revolving door, one activity ends and I’m back on the rebound, looking for something to spice it up! Live it up, I tell you! Although, those who know me well, know my limits of “living it up!” A whirlwind of terrible singing, dancing, playful banter, blunt responses, sweet and endearing but firm and serious remarks to children, speaking/slaughtering accents that I’ve spun from memory, are a just a few of my favorite things….I delight in waking to the sunrise, driving to an incredible place of work, where I am able to express my true self regularly! My students call me "Crazy. ” This is where the song and dance comes into play, whether we are learning about adjectives or writing our names on our papers, I’ve got a song and cheer for it all! I’m passionate about traveling and walking down narrow pathways. In my spare time, I enjoy taking walks in the park…I’ve been known to disappear in the dark of the night, only to be found on the swings. I also love to organize and re-organize, I can never quite get things right. I thoroughly enjoy people watching.
